Overview

ButcherCrowd delivers grass-fed meat and wild-caught seafood boxes across Australia, and lives or dies on paid social. The account is big: five thousand ads deep, with dozens live at any moment and a creative pipeline that never stops.

The engagement is pure performance marketing: Meta ads and creative. Get inside the account, find what is actually winning, feed the creative pipeline, and keep the testing velocity up without burning the budget on vibes.

What was built

  • Ad account operations: audit, naming, UTM standardisation and creative rotation across the live set
  • Creative testing system: structured tests, kill criteria and a decision log, so every dollar teaches something
  • LP engine: finds the proven ads in the account and generates the matching landing page, mockup and copy

Approach & Tools

Key decisions

  • Mine the account before making anything new
Five thousand ads is not clutter, it is six years of paid answers. Before a single new creative shipped, the account got audited: what won, what died, and why. Most brands pay to relearn what their own ad history already knows.
  • The landing page follows the ad, never the reverse
A proven ad earns a matched landing page. The LP engine reads a winning ad and generates the page, mockup and copy to continue its promise, so the click lands on the same message it left. Scent continuity is the cheapest conversion lift in the account.
  • Kill criteria agreed before the test starts
Every test enters the account with its exit conditions written down: spend threshold, metric, decision. Winners scale, losers die on schedule, and the decision log means no argument gets relitigated. Velocity without discipline is just burn.
  • One visual signature, repeated until it owns the feed
Butcher's paper, heavy type, handwritten accents, and the product photographed raw and isolated. The creative system is narrow on purpose: a distinctive asset compounds with every impression, while variety for its own sake resets the meter to zero.
